How do I schedule an initial consultation appointment?

The first step is reaching out to our team for a complimentary consultation to see if Baywood is the right fit for the care you are seeking. You will speak directly with Dr. Vagts or Dr. Jung who will discuss in more depth what engaging with Baywood would entail. Please call (650) 200-0238 to set up a phone consultation or email intakes@baywood.clinic to start the process. If, on completing the phone consultation, you and your doctor feel confident Baywood is a good fit, we will schedule a formal initial consultation at the next available time convenient for you, in the setting of your choosing.

What can I expect from an initial consultation appointment?

The initial consultation includes taking a comprehensive mental and physical health history and requires more time than a typical follow-up session. Your doctor will focus on obtaining the complete picture of who you are and your goals for care, will develop an individualized treatment plan including frequency and duration of sessions, will order labs as indicated, and will discuss medication options as needed. At times, due to the volume of information shared at the initial consultation, the completion of the intake will be spread across two to three appointments.

How do I schedule a follow-up appointment?

Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled at the conclusion of each session with your doctor. Some clients prefer scheduling a set appointment time weeks or months in advance to lock-in a specific hour, while others prefer an ad hoc approach given the demands of their schedules. At Baywood, we additionally utilize Calendly appointments online where you can view any currently available appointment times and schedule directly yourself 24/7. We also make it very easy to contact your doctor directly via email with desired day or time for a follow-up appointment and we will work to fit your visit into your schedule.
